PLAYING FOR MORE

THAN THE SCORELINE

On 4th July 2026, rugby heads to Castle Park Stadium for a day that means far more than what happens on the pitch.

We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with Military vs Cancer for what promises to be a powerful and inspiring day of rugby, bringing together players, supporters, military personnel, veterans, and families for three huge fixtures:

• Men’s U21s
• Senior Women’s
• Senior Men’s

The North Select XV will take on the Joint Armed Forces teams in a showcase of grit, pride, and community spirit. The kind of day rugby does best.

But this event is about more than the game.

WHO ARE MILITARY VS CANCER?

Military vs Cancer is a grant giving charity providing emotional, financial, and practical support to serving military personnel, veterans, and their families affected by cancer.

Because when cancer hits, life changes instantly.

For people used to structure, service, and putting others first, navigating treatment, recovery, and everyday life afterwards can feel overwhelming. Military vs Cancer steps in to provide real support where it matters most, from funding vital care and travel for treatment, to respite breaks, home adaptations, and one to one support.

It’s honest, hands on help during some of the hardest moments people can face.

THIS IS WHAT SPORT IS REALLY ABOUT

At Teamkits, we believe sport has the power to create change. That’s why partnerships like this matter so much to us.

Grassroots sport, military sport, local clubs, teammates, coaches, families on the sidelines, it’s all built on people showing up for each other. This event is exactly that.

A community coming together for something bigger than the scoreboard.

DESIGNED WITH PURPOSE

We’re also excited to see the incredible commemorative polos and playing kits designed by Charlie Little brought to life for the occasion.

The designs combine performance, identity, and purpose, creating kits that represent far more than colours and crests. They tell a story. One of resilience, unity, and support.

And honestly, they look unreal too.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT

There are loads of ways to get involved with Military vs Cancer:

• Donate monthly or as a one off
• Attend events
• Fundraise in your community
• Buy from their shop
• Share your story
• Help spread awareness

Every bit of support makes a difference.

So if you’re anywhere near Doncaster on 4th July, get yourself down to Castle Park. Support the teams. Support the cause. Be part of something special.

Because some matches mean more.
